Not for the quick-trip tourist!
For me, the best part of the Huldustígur was not just the botanical beauty or the magical
realm beyond our senses, but the respectful way Bryndís Fjóla engages. The hidden folk you
will meet, two women and one man, have agreed to work with her and to have their
dwellings marked on her garden map. While visiting their sites, questions are welcomed
as well as discovery through silence where you may receive messages or gain a sense
of earthbound peace to bring home with you. As Bryndís sees it, you never know what
you’ll find. When we were there, a hidden gentleman came to treat my husband’s
knees. Although new to Bryndís Fjóla, he clearly knew what he was doing. Hiking up a
mountain later that day, my husband was startled to discover that his sore knees no
longer bothered him. Go figure!

Dear Bryndis Fjóla,
I can’t thank you enough for opening my eyes and ears to the deep layers of your
extraordinarily beautiful, powerful and magical country. I was traveling to Iceland for the first
time with a small group last summer, and having a tour with you of the gardens was the perfect
entryway for me. What you shared about the nature spirits, deeply embedded in the culture of
Iceland, and their (and your own) relationship to nature, had a lasting impact on my trip. The
members of my group who attended your tour were grateful and inspired; they even
incorporated elements of your talk into their own teachings: paying attention to what is hidden,
being aware of a subtle peaceful communication with ourselves, nature and each other. It not
only felt valuable to me personally, but I think it also created more connection with our group
and your land. I felt that your tour created a space for us to feel close to a land that is foreign to
us. We could enter it from a very personal perspective and yet with the feeling of a collective
consciousness of healing, understanding, and respect, while staying open to its mysteries. Your
tour invited us to find those places in ourselves, and to explore the hidden beauties and
energies in northern Iceland, and its ancient and modern inhabitants. I am inspired to carry
your message to my own land and deepen my own relationship with nature. Thank you for
sharing your gifts with me, and with my group. I would love to come back to Iceland
Sincerely, Andrea

To whom it may concern,
In the summer of 2017, our group of 35 NY State Holistic Veterinarians went to Iceland to learn
how to ‘talk to the elves’. We had an experience of a lifetime!! Our host, Bryndis Pétursdóttir,
was incredible. Most of our group was able to stay at her guest house, beautiful immaculate
accommodations with the best breakfast and close to the Elf Stone! Bryndis taught us how to
open ourselves up to the elves and nature spirits. She gave us the confidence to trust our
communications with them; how to listen and feel what they were telling us. With this
connection, our whole reality shifted. She empowered our ability to connect with nature and
with that we are now able to understand ourselves better; that we have a purpose on earth which
is intertwined with nature and nature spirits. We all have developed a deeper gratitude for life
and for the life of the Earth and all of her inhabitants. Not only did we work with the elves at the
Elf Stone, but Bryndis also guided us to Asbyrgi canyon, a truly magical place, and compared it
with Dimmuborgir. Our adventure was a life expanding and life enriching experience.
Our group was so touched and influenced by Bryndis, that we invited her to be one of our main
speakers during our fall conference in NY State in 2018. While she was at this conference, she
connected us to our local nature spirits, lectured to us about geopathic stress and the development
of her ‘cube’ to balance those stresses, and taught us how to dowse for areas of geopathic stress.
She is a very accomplished speaker. Bryndis is a remarkable individual. It is not just her ability
to connect with nature spirits but her ability to open others to that connection that makes her a
truly gifted teacher and guide.
Sincerely,
Cynthia Lankenau, DVM president of the NY Complementary and Alternative Veterinary
Medical Association
